St. Margaret's Sinks San Clemente 3-0 in CIF Div. II Volleyball Quarterfinal
The Tartans relied on a strong defensive effort to best the Tritons.
St. Margaret's boys volleyball has advanced to CIF-SS Div. II semifinal round with a 3-0 win over San Clemente High School.
The Tartans were in complete control and kept San Clemente at bay with a consistent side-out offense and what may have been the Tartans' best defensive effort of the campaign.
Botty O'Kane led the defense for St. Margaret's with excellent left-back play, supported by Miles Eaton and Beckett Harvey. The Tartans pressured San Clemente from the start with solid blocking and stellar floor defense.
Harvey also contributed offensively, notching 17 kills with a .500 efficiency. Eaton added 12 kills on a .611 efficiency while Ry O Hill had 11 kills in the win.
