PTF Announces School-Enriching Grants, Tartans Thrive Gift at Final General Membership Meeting
This spring’s grants included a gift to Tartans Thrive, as fundraising continues for the campaign and the St. Margaret’s Commons ahead of its 2026 completion.
St. Margaret’s Parent Teacher Fellowship announced its 2024 spring grants at the final General Membership Meeting of the school year this week, which included classroom-enriching grants, standing grants and a capital campaign grant to Tartans Thrive in support of the upcoming St. Margaret’s Commons.
Between the fall grant cycle and the spring grants announced this week, the PTF totaled more than $740,000 in grants this school year.
This spring’s grants included a gift to Tartans Thrive: Campaign for a Common Purpose, as fundraising continues for the campaign and the St. Margaret’s Commons ahead of its 2026 completion.
“We are filled with tremendous gratitude for the PTF and the love and commitment they demonstrate toward St. Margaret’s and our students,” Head of School Dr. Jeneen Graham said. “The PTF does extraordinary work, and these grants will make a lasting impact for many Tartans both now and into the future. Thank you to PTF and the entire Tartan community for a year full of love, generosity and support. We appreciate your strategic partnership so much.”
The PTF grants are funded through annual PTF events and programs, including the Forever Plaid All-School Fundraiser, the Library Luncheon, the Book Fair, the Online Auction and more. The spring grant cycle includes general grants requested by professional community, the continuation of standing grants and restricted funds.

The PTF provided a grant to expand the Scottie Snack Cart to all division of the school. The Lower School Scottie Snack Cart has been a popular nutrition-education program in the Lower School for several years now.
The Lower School also received a grant for Learning Through Movement & Big Blue Blocks for the Lower School Outdoor Classroom.
Summer at St. Margaret’s received a grant for movable gaga ball courts and related equipment.
Athletics received a grant for Riddell Power Shoulder Pads for enhanced safety for Tartan football players.
