Middle School Soccer Team Wins South County League Championship
The Tartans defeated St. Anne's 3-2 for the title.
St. Margaret's Middle School 7th/8th-grade soccer team captured the South County League Championship on May 11, defeating a talented St. Anne's squad 3-2.
Despite the season facing multiple delays due to heavy rain in March, the team managed to bounce back from an early loss to St. Mary's and achieve seven consecutive wins, leading them to the championship game. The game started as a defensive struggle, but the Tartans quickly pulled ahead with two goals, only for St. Anne to score one before halftime and another at the start of the second half, tying the game at 2-2. The score remained neck-and-neck until the Tartans scored on a penalty kick, securing a 3-2 lead which they held until the end of the game.
A huge congratulations to the Tartans for their impressive win!
