In a moving and reflective presentation to the professional community this week, Charles Vogl ’92 shared his insight and expertise on the power of community, and how all of us can make a difference in a world in need of more connection. 

 

Mr. Vogl is an adviser, speaker, author and St. Margaret’s alumnus who shares his expertise on the impact of community and leadership. He has written three books on the subject and has worked with organizations and companies worldwide to develop leadership and community programs, including work with Google in several capacities. 

 

In an interactive presentation to St. Margaret’s faculty and staff in the opening week of preparation for the 2023-2024 school year, Mr. Vogl gave a thoughtful reminder of the capacity all of us have to change someone’s life through community and connection. Sometimes, it’s as simple as extending an invitation. 

 

Mr. Vogl defines “community” as a group of people who share mutual concern for one another’s welfare. In a world where more and more people are feeling loneliness and disconnect, Mr. Vogl invited St. Margaret’s professional community to understand their own power in changing the lives of those around them. His prompts led to an insightful discussion in small-group settings with Mr. Vogl moderating.
