In a fun-filled day with activities designed to build community, bond with advisories and get to know their fellow students outside of the classroom, St. Margaret’s Middle School students spent a day away from campus in their Middle School advisories. 

Here’s a recap of each grade’s fun-filled, adventurous day: 

Students in grade 8 boarded the Catalina Express and spent a day on Catalina Island. There, students either participated in the ropes course or a zipline activity, and enjoyed free time exploring Avalon, spending time on the beach or going for a hike. 

Grade 7 students traveled to the Irvine Spectrum for the day, where they took part in an escape room to hone teamwork skills in a fun environment. Advisories then had lunch together before going over to the Irvine Improv to take part in improv games with their peers. Building community through laughter, being good audience members and getting outside our comfort zones were the focus for the afternoon.

Grade 6 students went to the beach in Dana Point to take part in a day of activities led by Positive Adventures. The day included kayaking, sand-castle building, team-bonding activities and lunch.
