The Tartans knocked off hosts Costa Mesa High School 178-242 in a wet and wild finish at Costa Mesa Country Club on Monday. Enduring a 40-minute play stoppage due to lightning in the area, St. Margaret's quickly got to work and found success on the damp fairways.

Freshman Brandon Yang turned in a 34 (-1) with senior captain Quinn Kyle keeping the Tartans ahead with a 35.

St. Margaret's followed up Monday's victory with a convincing 191-317 win against Orange High on Thursday to improve to 6-0 in league play. The Tartans will next face Calvary Chapel Santa Ana at San Juan Hills on Tuesday, March 26.

Boys Tennis

Dawson Mai and Dillan Grover won all three of their singles sets to propel St. Margaret's past Santa Ana 18-0 on March 21.  St. Margaret’s made short work of the Saints, with the doubles team of Justin Qiao and Taylor Danz winning all three sets while only dropping three total games.

"The beginning of league play has gone well so far. We had a tough non-league schedule, which has prepared us well for the next few weeks of league matches," said head coach Scott Lipsky. "I am looking forward to what's ahead for the team."

St. Margaret's takes on Estancia away on March 26 in an attempt to move to 3-0 in the Orange Coast League.
