Watercolor Run Brings Lower School Together to Celebrate Health, Well-Being and Community
St. Margaret’s kindergarten classrooms launched the Lower School’s first annual Watercolor Run with their curriculum focus on Global Goal No. 3: Good Health and Wellbeing.
St. Margaret’s kindergarten classrooms, with their curriculum focus on Global Goal No. 3: Good Health and Wellbeing, launched the Lower School’s first annual Watercolor Run last week. To celebrate health, camaraderie and community, students ran laps around a track on Chalmers Field while being periodically sprayed with all four House League colors. The colors served as a reminder of each House League, but most importantly the combined colors symbolized that all are Tartans.
Parents and families participated by dressing in their children’s House League colors and were led in House chants by Lower School music teacher Zach Hanna. The entire Lower School community enjoyed popsicles after the run.
The Lower School extends a huge thank you to kindergarten teachers Mara Balak, Gabriela Lopez and Jessica Banks; and personal fitness and wellness teachers Jennifer Cuda and Adam Doty for the year-long effort in planning for and producing the Watercolor Run.
