The Tartans put in work this afternoon, putting on an absolute show against school rival and top Southern California golf contender Sage Hill at Strawberry Farms. Three Tartans shot under par including star captains Annie Weng (32, -4) and Jessica Liu ( 34, -2). Freshman powerhouse Nicole Wang also turned in her first under par score ever for the Tartans with a 35 (-1). St. Margaret’s jaw dropping play and lowest team score of the year was not enough however to overcome Sage’s stellar 1 under team score, as the Lightning came away with the victory 179-183. The Tartans will focus on the positives as they prepare to continue league play next week.
