Tartan Community Comes Together for Unforgettable Evening at Forever Plaid: Casino Noir

More than 450 members of the St. Margaret’s community attended the event at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach.
The Tartan community—parents, professional community, Trustees, alumni and friends—came together in friendship and fellowship on Saturday at Forever Plaid: Casino Noir, the annual all-school fundraiser in support of St. Margaret’s Episcopal School.

With festive decorations reminiscent of Las Vegas of an earlier time, attendees could bid on silent and live auction items, play Vegas-style table games, socialize with fellow community members, enjoy amazing food and listen to great music.

“The Forever Plaid all-school fundraiser was truly remarkable. It was one of the school’s largest events ever and the positive energy in the room was palpable. The core value of community was absolutely alive and well,” Head of School Dr. Jeneen Graham said. “The Parent Teacher Fellowship is such a tremendous partner at the school and we are so grateful for all they do in support of our students. Thank you to PTF president Tania Robertson, event and auction chairs Michelle Garcia and Erin Yoder and all the volunteers for an exceptional evening. And thank you to everyone who came out and supported St. Margaret’s and the exciting future we will build together.”

One of the highlights of the night was the generous support of this year’s Fund A Need. Members of the Tartan community can leave a permanent mark in the new St. Margaret’s Commons as part of the Chair-ish our Tartans initiative, a collaborative effort by St. Margaret’s, the Board of Trustees and the Parent Teacher Fellowship. Chair-ish our Tartans moved significantly closer to its goal after strong support at the gala.

In total, more than 450 members of the St. Margaret’s community attended the event, which took place at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach.

“It was an amazing evening with fellow Tartans, and I’m thankful for everyone who played a part in it,” said Mrs. Robertson. “I’m so grateful to event chair Michelle Garcia, auction chair Erin Yoder and all the volunteers who worked hard to bring this event to life. Their vision was amazing and the result was unforgettable. Thank you!”

“I’m so thankful for the Forever Plaid Committee for their hard work and creativity, and the volunteers, sponsors and donors who made this event possible," Mrs. Garcia said. "I’m so appreciative of this Tartan community and everyone who attended Forever Plaid in support of our school.”

The PTF would like to thank all of the generous supporters of the events, including families, friends and corporate sponsors.

For those unable to attend the event, you can still support the Chair-ish Our Tartans initiative and leave your permanent mark in the new St. Margaret’s Commons. Click here to learn more, or reach out to Beth Adamany in the PTF Office, ext. 1351.
