College Counseling Team Meets With Class of 2026 and Families

The St. Margaret’s College Counseling team recently hosted an informative session with the Class of 2026 and their families as the college admissions process comes into focus. 

The evening spotlighted the school’s student-centered approach, emphasizing the importance of "fit" in college selection—ensuring each student finds a school that aligns with their academic, social, and personal needs. College counselors introduced key resources, discussed upcoming events like case studies and college group meetings (CGM), and highlighted how their hands-on, personalized approach sets St. Margaret’s students for success in their college journeys.

A core theme of the event was the emphasis on authenticity in the application process. St. Margaret’s Director of College Counseling Amy Warren explained that colleges are looking for students who display authenticity. She remarks, “Colleges look for students who demonstrate genuine interest and self-awareness. We talked about ethics and character, which is a huge part of the process.”

The St. Margaret’s College Counseling team has more than 70 years of combined admission and higher education experience. With a focus on ethics, character, and finding the best college fit, St. Margaret’s is equipping its students for a successful future, both in college and beyond.
