Tartan Girls Beach Volleyball Unblemished in Season Start
St. Margaret's picked up two victories this week on the sand.
St. Margaret's girls beach volleyball team had a solid start to the 2024 season, notching two wins against Westminster and Estancia High Schools this week. The Tartans remain 2-0 on the year.
On Feb. 28 St. Margaret's took on Westminster High at Huntington State Beach, coming away with a decisive 5-0 win. The Tartan Pairs of Carly Hermann/Emma Kim, Sarah MacDonald/Ella Massoudi, Peyton Cruse/Chloe Wainwright, Carly Grumet/Mimi Spangler and Ana Cormac/Amaya Reddy all secured 2-0 wins against the Lions.
Returning to Huntington Beach on Feb. 29, the Tartans faced Estancia High with a 5-0 win as the result. Carly Hermann and Emma Kim fought back from a 3-8 deficit to win it for the Tartans.
Next up for St. Margaret's: Ocean View High School on March 4.
