Scottie Snack Cart Nutrition Program Returns to Lower School

The cart is part of a PTF grant for nutrition education and access to whole foods in the Lower School.
St. Margaret’s welcomed the return of the Scottie Snack Cart this week, which provides a sampling of nutritious fruits and vegetables for Lower School students to enjoy during the school day.

The Lower School received a PTF grant for five years of nutrition education and access to whole foods in 2022. That led to the creation of the Scottie Snack Cart, which is rolled out to the Lower School playground once a month. The debut of the cart proved popular, as students came by during their downtime to sample edamame, plumcots and zucchini.
