St. Margaret's Surf Team Edges Crean Lutheran 55-37

The Tartans competed well in an early-season win.
The Tartan surf program notched a big win this past weekend, dropping Crean Lutheran 55-37 at 9th Street Beach in Huntington Beach.
 
In the men's shortboard, Braeden Nock, Ry O Hill, Brendon Lyons, Gareth Thomas and Colton Ettewin advanced through their heats, with Lyons claiming the first-place finish.
 
Chloe Eskander and Chloe Wainwright battled in the women's shortboard competition, where Eskander claimed second place.
 
In the longboard division, Braden Nock finished second overall, while Annika Tufo notched a third-place finish. Peyton Cruse rounded out the top five with a solid fifth-place finish.
 
Sawyer Collins improved upon an early third-place finish, capturing a second-place result in a bodyboard competition.
 
The Tartans return to action in the Scholastic Surf Series on January 25.
