Tartans to Face Redondo Union in CIF Regional Volleyball Final

St. Margaret's defeated San Clemente in rematch to advance.
The St. Margaret's boys volleyball program is headed to the CIF Regional Div. II Final this Saturday after defeating San Clemente 3-1. The No. 5 Tartans will face No. 1 Redondo Union High School and will look to bring home their first-ever State Championship in boys volleyball.

Reed Wainwright was again a force for St. Margaret's, leading with 37 kills on 75 attempts. Luke Balint added 8 kills while Miles Eaton had 6 kills, 5 in the first set, to pace the Tartans and force San Clemente to make several adjustments. Caden Isola led the team in digs with 19, Drew Otto and Aidan McMahon added 13 each.

"It's very tough to beat a good team virtually back-to-back, and we had great energy, execution, and resiliency," said head coach Bob Yoder. "The team achieved an exceptional 70% side out rate, which put pressure on San Clemente throughout the match."

The Regional Final will be held on Saturday, May 18, at Redondo Union. First set at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are available here.
