St. Margaret's Girls Volleyball Picks up First Win of Season Over CC Santa Ana

The Tartans engineered a 3-0 win over the Eagles at home Thursday.
The Tartan girls volleyball program downed the Eagles of CC Santa Ana 3-0 to improve to 1-1 in the 2024 campaign.
 
St. Margaret's was led by Ella Massoudi's 15 kills while hitting .425. Carly Hermann added 12 kills in the win, while Sarah MacDonald and Elena Wang added 5 and 3 aces, respectively. The Tartans collectively had an exceptional 94% serve efficiency, including 19 aces, while only committing 5 service errors. The team also achieved it's benchmark of 2.0 or better serve receive rating.
 
"It was a solid all-around effort by a young team that also has several players in new positions," remarked head coach Bob Yoder.
 
The Tartans return to action on Saturday, August 17 to participate in the Portola Volleyball Tournament at Portola High School in Irvine.
