St. Margaret's Girls Volleyball Declaws Cougars in Non-League Tilt

The Tartans defeated Capistrano Valley 3-0 at home on Tuesday.
The Tartan girls volleyball team wrapped up its non-league schedule with a 3-0 blanking of visiting Capistrano Valley High School Tuesday night in Pasternack Field House.
 
The Tartans served an exceptional 97% efficiency, recording 10 aces and only 2 errors. Ella Massoudi and Sami Duran provided strong outside hitting, notching 13 and 12 kills, respectively.
 
St. Margaret's defense was again on point, thwarting the Cougar atatck with key digs and timely block touches. Capistrano Valley rallied in the final set, but the Tartans were able to battle back with the coup de grâce delivered by the two aces of Elena Wang.
 
The Tartans will embark on the league campaign on Tuesday, September 17, taking on Northwood High School at home at 6 p.m.
