St. Margaret’s Episcopal School is proud to present the Class of 2022 on the eve of their official graduation date this Saturday, June 4. These 124 graduating seniors will matriculate to 74 colleges and universities in 24 states, as well as one university in Switzerland.
Thirty-nine seniors will attend a college or university in California, while 85 seniors are venturing to out-of-state institutions in places like New York (11), Texas (10) and Illinois (8). As they join their new communities, they bring with them a host of impressive interests, skills, experiences and talents as
scholars,
artists,
athletes, community servants and leaders.
College choices by the Class of 2022 include Dartmouth College, Johns Hopkins University, University of Michigan, University of California at Berkeley, University of Pennsylvania, Vanderbilt University, Yale University, the University of Texas at Austin, Northwestern University, Barnard College, Georgetown University, Harvey Mudd College, Syracuse University, Emory University and the University of Colorado at Boulder.
In all, 23 colleges and universities will enroll two or more Tartans, a list which includes Chapman University (6), University of San Diego (5), University of Southern California (5), New York University (4), University of California, San Diego (4), Baylor University (3), University of California, Irvine (3), Loyola Marymount University (3), University of California, Los Angeles (3), The University of Chicago (3), and the University of Utah (3).
In total, 100 percent of the senior class will be attending a college or university next year. They were guided in their decision-making process by St. Margaret’s dedicated college counseling team, including Director of College Counseling Elise Rodriguez, Senior Associate Director of College Counseling Amy Warren and Associate Director of College Counseling Erica Huerta.
“We are so proud of the Class of 2022, the lasting impact they have made on St. Margaret’s and the paths they’ve chosen to pursue,” Upper School Principal Jeneen Graham said. “On behalf of the Upper School professional community, we congratulate them on this important milestone, and we look forward to following their many successes going forward.”
