Tartan Alumni Earning Academic Honors as Student-Athletes
These St. Margaret's products are excelling in their academic and athletic pursuits.
Multiple St. Margaret's student-athlete alums have had standout seasons on the field and in the classroom this past spring:
Niki Miles - University of Pennsylvania
Miles was awarded the PhillySDIA Academic All-Area Performer of the Year in June, voted on by the athletic communications offices of 30 institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area. To be considered, an athlete must be in their second year and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or greater.
On the field, Miles set a Penn women's lacrosse program record of 63 goals with 78 total points, ranking her fifth in program history for points scored. Miles was named Ivy League Attacker of the Year, first team All-Ivy and IWLCA All-region and honorable mention All-America by Inside Lacrosse Magazine.

Kevin Groeninger - Bryant University
Groeninger was named a USILA Scholar All-American, making him the fifth player in Bryant's men's lacrosse program history to earn the accolade.
Groeninger maintained a 3.74 GPA while notching 68 points on 38 goals and 30 assists for the Bulldogs. Groeninger was named to the America East First Team for his efforts and earned America East Tournament Most Outstanding Player honors after scoring five times in the conference title game.

Cailin Young - San Diego State University
Young picked up CSC Academic All-District honors, maintaining above a 3.50 cumulative grade point average while graduating summa cum laude with a degree in both sustainability and urban studies, as well as an anthropology minor.
On the lacrosse field, Young totaled 32 ground balls and 31 draw controls for the Aztecs.

Campbell Case - Johns Hopkins University
Case was named to the Academic All-Big Ten Team this spring, maintaing above a 3.0 GPA and majoring in political science as a member of the Hopkins women's lacrosse program. Case also was named Academic All-Big Ten in 2022.
For the Blue Jays, Case tallied 43 points on 24 goals and 19 assists.

Ethan Hill - Stanford University
Hill earned a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic accolade for his academic performance at Stanford this spring. To be eligible, students must have a 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore academically, and have spent at least one academic year at their institution. Hill won the award previously in 2022 and is a two-time Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll member (2021, 2022).
Hill had 156 kills for the Stanford men's volleyball program while recording 29 digs and 57 block assists this spring.

Calvin Capelle - Bates College
Capelle, a member of Bates College track & field squad was awarded NESCAC All-Academic honors for his performance in the classroom this spring. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing, and be in good standing in their sport with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale.
Capelle was also named Third Place All-NESCAC for track & field as a member of the Bobcats' men's 4x800 relay team.
