The Upper School students, taught by English teacher Meredith Schumacher, visited Tammy Pipitone’s E4 class to read Sophie’s Squash. The older students then led an activity where groups decorated a squash and shared their work at the end of class.
It was another cross-divisional connection between older and younger students, a feature of an Early School-grade 12 campus that St. Margaret’s prioritizes. Cross-divisional connections such as these allow for benefits for both older and younger students, such as leadership, connection, character building, role modeling, mentorship and joy.
